About Mike scofield & 4 bar cafe

 4 Bar Cafe plays instrumental music composed and produced by Mike Scofield.  Mike’s musical roots are playing the accordion, guitar and mountain dulcimer.  His influences range from classical music to jazz, folk, 60s rock and the Great American Songbook.  In 2022 Mike decided that instead of playing others’ music he would try his hand at composing and to distribute his music under the 4 Bar Cafe brand.  The result is a repertoire of relaxing melodies that evoke a range of emotions, from happy and light-hearted to contemplative and somber.  Most of the catalog consists of brief pieces of chamber music with an emphasis on strings, woodwinds and horns, though the listener will find instances of jazz and folk tunes as well.
